Le Petit Boudoir de Catherine

In Versailles, Catherine's boutique de décoration distils a delightful mix of feminity and romance with its array of pastel colours in settings of charming knick knacks and French antique furniture.
Following a career as a business lawyer, Catherine decided to give free rein to her passion for interior decoration. Her first trial run saw the creation of a series of high quality effects for elegant dining. When she saw how her clients loved the distressed furniture on which she presented her collections of porcelain, she decided to develop her interest in the art of patina with special reference to 18th century furniture and effects. It was on discovering a "little shed" in the heart of the historic quarter of Versailles, that she knew she had found the perfect setting for her new creations which were a skilful blend of old and new with objects picked up in 2nd hand sales a new and unexpected role. This was the beginning of a happy story which has gone to include the creation of an interior decoration service in which Gustavian settings are often the inspiration for the charm and elegance with which Catherine highlights the best of old houses or creates a new personality for more contemporary interiors.
